Take a look at the fabulous destinations available:

 Palm Cove

Palm Cove

Welcome to Cairns!  The gateway city to the Great Barrier Reef!  Cairns is located in Far North Queensland, about 1700 km from Brisbane on a coatal strip between the Coral Sea to the east and the Great Dividing Range to the West.  To the suprise of many tourists, Cairns does not have a beach, it is located on a mud flat.  The beaches all lie to the north and south of Cairns including Port Douglas and Palm Cove.  The tropical weather means it has a wet and dry season.

Kuranda, 'The Village in the Rainforest' is only a short distance from Cairns, located in the mountain range to the west of Cairns.  Part of the experience of Kuranda is how you get there and back.  There is the fabulous Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Kuranda Scenic Railway.  The Skyrail travels just metres above the pristine forest canopy in gondola cabins.  The Scenic Railway was and still is a engineering feat of it's time.  It was constructed between 1886 and 1891.  During your day you will see the most stunning views of Barron Gorge, pristine rainforest, and the lovely Kuranda Village.  What a fabulous day out!
